Query head torque required for TR4 head - Manual states 100 > 105 lbs (seems alot compared to other makes ?) - - www.tr3a.info/net_head torquing ( TerriAnne , Triumph Web Page ) states that 90lbs is all that is required Any other views on this subject - Cheers GRN62

Hi. Just found this.
Yes, Viv is spot on. I am always concerned when pulling down the head nuts. Some things I do to overcome this concern is,
1. Fit new studs. I use the AP stud and nut set. They are no more expensive (maybe a little depending on where you can source them) than the standard parts.
2. If using standard studs, use the nuts supplied by the Register. They are deeper and better steel than the original.
3. Use the correct washers.
