I am having great difficulty selecting reverse gear for 2500 TC.
Need to lift the gear lever up when in neutral with a lot of force before I can move across into reverse.
Comments wanted please.

Sounds like you may have an anti rattle spring/plunger issue. That part of the 2500 selector is the same as the TR except that the retaining fixture to hold the gear leaver in is three cap screws rather than a singe long nut and bolt and one cap screw.
it is easy to check. just remove the rubber boot and then the rear most of three cap screws and loosen the other two. You then push the gear lever cap down and give it a short twist to remove the assembly.(like a light bulb). The problem should be able to be identified.

When you remove the rubber boot and the steel cup and spring that holds the gearstick down into the socket you may find that the gearstick locating "pegs" on each side are adjustable being held by lock nuts. Trial and error adjustment to obtain a better shift. Put a cloth under the gearbox on the floor to stop the anti rattle ball bouncing out of sight if you drop it.
