I am sure plenty of us are in lockdown and looking for something to do. Here is a question. If you had a car company, and unlimited funds to build a car, and decided to produce a TR replica, what would you include in the new vehicle?

Here are some questions to get you started:
- Would you include overdrive?
- What sort of engine - petrol, diesel, electric?
- Any new creature comforts?
- Subtle changes to shape?
- Safety features (ejector seats are still illegal last time I looked)?

Don't sit at home bored, Add a few fantasy posts to the list.

You would need a recording of the glorious sound of the 4 banger.

Just one that does not leak oil out or water in. Would not change anything else.

I think basically just fix those issues we all seem to have. Alternator, wiring loom, starter, fan belt size, water pump, steering (rack and pinion), weak spots on the chassis, rear shocks, led lighting, electronic ignition, switch gear, diaphragm clutch, six speed box with OD on top and good syncro, fix weather proofing and oil sealing, better door fittings, indicator mechanism, hand brake location, radiator, wheels, gauges.

Some of the nice things that could be incorporated are, A couple of inches in track (TR4?), good heater/demister, air con (for the wife), option of double clutch box for the oldies who cant operate a clutch.

Things not to change are the body shape, theme of the interior, and sound.

I have managed to attend to all the issues except the lighting, switch gear, six speed box, weather proofing, and door fittings. No change to body or interior. So it still has some style

And yet another idea. This is obviously a rally car but look at the map holder on the passenger's side. Incidentally any idea what the plate is on the passenger side tunnel?
