Post subject:  Getting very near the end

The car has now done 565 miles since it was re registered for the first time since 1965.

A few issues have been resolved. Thank you to Brian Richards for an overdrive overhaul and Jim Allen for help with the electrical issues. The car drives and performs very well.

It is booked into the body shop in early November to bend a bumper iron to fit, straighten the cockpit cappings and give it a final buff. We will take the apron off and I will fit a 6 bladed fan to improve the cooling. Viv Paine tells me they were fitted to TRs by dealers as a tropical option, it will do for me anyway.

Back to the trimmer for the cappings and weather equipment.

It still has the high port head and carbies but I have the the correct ones ready to go on when I get the inspiration.

I don't 'need' 2 TR2s and the other one is part of the family. This one might have to be sold to make way for another project.
