I think basically just fix those issues we all seem to have. Alternator, wiring loom, starter, fan belt size, water pump, steering (rack and pinion), weak spots on the chassis, rear shocks, led lighting, electronic ignition, switch gear, diaphragm clutch, six speed box with OD on top and good syncro, fix weather proofing and oil sealing, better door fittings, indicator mechanism, hand brake location, radiator, wheels, gauges.
Some of the nice things that could be incorporated are, A couple of inches in track (TR4?), good heater/demister, air con (for the wife), option of double clutch box for the oldies who cant operate a clutch.
Things not to change are the body shape, theme of the interior, and sound.
I have managed to attend to all the issues except the lighting, switch gear, six speed box, weather proofing, and door fittings. No change to body or interior. So it still has some style
