Hi all,
After a great deal of consideration and with much regret the Committee has decided that our National meet in Stanthorpe will have to be postponed to 2021. All things being equal we will gather in Stanthorpe same time next year.
The situation with COVID 19 is too unpredictable to continue to plan for the event. The potential for people to not be able to attend due to border closures or to be subject to quarantine/isolation is just too high.
An additional consideration is that some members who attend Nationals regularly have also expressed concern at attending a large gathering due to their risk levels.
Paul Bingham and the Queensland team have put a lot of effort into this years event and on behalf of everybody I thank them. Hopefully most of the work done will reduce the work needed next year.
Each state is encouraged to conduct their own event over the same September weekend, maybe a multi-day TT.
If possible it would be great to tour regional areas where Register members who have little opportunity to meet and enjoy the company of other members might be able to join in.
Best regards
John McCormack
