Hi guys
I have a problem with the tr3 a ticking sound while i push the start button. The car starts fine and the noise goes once it starts I have replaced the remote solenoid and the problem still exists. I am using a hi torque starter. I think its the starter does anyone have any clues as to what might be making the noise or have you experienced such noises. John

Hi Johno,
When I put the Hi-torque starter in the 3A we bypassed the remote solenoid for some reason that I can't remember. Maybe it's the remote solenoid that's the problem. Have you tried bypassing it?
Cheers, Peter

John.
You probably forgot that you replaced the fuel pump with an electric one !!!
mm.

BUT SERIOUSLY.... You should NOT have two solenoids in circuit for the starter....& the Hi-torque starters' solenoid is inbuilt...m
