Has anyone had any trouble with the new distributors that the club was selling about a year ago?

I have had one fitted since they first became available and have had no problems. Just returned from about a 2,500kms run to Ballarat plus numerous runs before this and have had no issues, at least not with the distributor however the diff is another story.
What are the problems you are experiencing?
Bob

No problems over the last two years, including Adelaide and Ballarat and lots of daily driving.
In fact I reckon it has been fantastic.
What are your problems?

I was suspicious that it could be the cause of my tuning issues, as it was so cheap. However it looks like the problem was the coil; a new coil seems to have solved my problems.

I carry one in the boot of all my TRs. They do fail and are easy to replace. But then I carry lots of spares.

I found that the 4 point cam was slightly oversize as the rotor from an electronic points conversion which fitted the genuine lucas ok would not fit onto the register version. Delicate application of my 5" angle grinder fixed the problem!
